Mark Macpherson was born near Melbourne, Australia. He went to University in New Zealand where he studied Physics and Mathematics. He has worked as a research scientist (Oceanography) and as a software consultant. He currently farms alpacas on a 20 acre property on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne, where he lives with his wife, a barrister at the Victorian Bar, and two teenage children. He has written two novels.
